WE ARE A COMMUNITY OF CHANGEMAKERS

ENGAGE is a growing community of artists, educators, researchers, community workers and social workers. In classrooms, neighbourhoods, and research environments, we work with the real challenges our societies face. Although this work is complex and demanding, we share a commitment to social change and a vision of a just society. Yet too often we work in separate contexts, without the structures to connect or collaborate. No one can tackle challenges such as education, conflict, polarisation, inequality, exclusion, or community development alone.

ENGAGE responds to this need. We aim to make it easier for professionals from different sectors and backgrounds to connect. By doing so, we help amplify voices, highlight valuable work, and support long-term, meaningful collaboration. ENGAGE believes that transformation happens when people come together across disciplines, geographies, and perspectives.

WE ARE A NETWORK OF ISSUE BASED PRACTITIONERS

To support this mission, ENGAGE organises events aimed at collective learning, collaboration and community building. We organise workshops, panel discussions and expert programs, where participants share their practice and research. Our events are hybrid and accessible from anywhere, creating opportunities to connect and exchange with like-minded people. We enable professionals to expand their networks, collaborate across disciplines, and share knowledge beyond their usual circles.

ENGAGE collaborates with a wide range of institutions, universities, cultural organisations and other partners. Together, we help shape a network that is relevant, diverse, and an international landscape of knowledge, people, and partnerships. Furthermore, with our network we support a next generation of changemakers. By connecting with graduating bachelor’s and master’s students, we build bridges between education and practice, helping them transition into the field and continue learning beyond their formal studies.
